Once upon a time, in a land far away, there lived a girl who couldn't draw well at all, she couldn't even draw a stick person! Well, at least, she believed that she couldn't. Now, in most fairy tales, this is the point where the heroine meets a prince, who is usually quite charming. However, this girl did not meet a prince, because by this point in history princes were actually pretty much an endangered species, hard to come by, if not totally extinct. Instead she met a superhero, who'd recently had his portrait done by a real, true professional artist known only as The Zooman. This superhero took one look at our heroine's art (which she didn't think was art at all) and told her that she COULD draw, stick people, and more. "You're better than The Zooman!" he exclaimed. And then...

If you happen to use Delicious regularly you might find Netlicious [homepage, via Freeware Genius] very helpful. Users can use it to manage their delicious bookmarks locally which includes editing posts. The application requires the Microsoft .net framework so make sure you have that installed. Once that is out of the way you provide your Delicious username and password during the start of Netlicious.
All of the bookmarks of that Delicious profile are downloaded and displayed in a matter of seconds, very fast and nice. The left pane contains all the tags that have been used to describe bookmarks, the upper right pane contains the posts that are associated with the selected tag and the lower right pane contains a preview of the page.

"We call CitizenJane Politics "The Modern Girls' Guide to Picking the Leaders of the Free World" because that's exactly what it's designed to be. This is where you can find plain-English answers to where the candidates really stand on issues. You can also find out when and where to vote, what all that political jargon means, and whether there's a debate next week that you might want to watch on TV. Finally, you'll see politics through the eyes of women instead of the eyes of men. God love 'em, but why are men most of the voices in the political conversation when women are most of the voters?"

A nifty Greasemonkey script, folders4gmail is a tool to help you organize your Gmail labels into groups, just like a folder structure. If tag mail from your family you could have "family", "Mom", "Dad". You would see these tags quite far apart if you have many more, so enter folders4gmail.

In this HOW TO video, Annie Modesitt shows you how to use the power of Photoshop to create a prototype sketch of a sweater design -- all of course by replicating just one knit swatch. This is a great way to visualize your designs before you start knitting your project.
